Tom Ritchey of Ritchey Bicycle Components has a long history of cycling

Tom Ritchey at age 11 with his first good bicycle. His father taught him how to repair tubular tires, and he paid the whole $99.00 cost of this bicycle by repairing tubulars for a local bike shop when he was in the 5th grade.
